Drop-In Tour – Alexis Rockman: The Great Lakes Cycle
April 3, 2018, 1:00 PM-2:00 PM
Alexis Rockman: The Great Lakes Cycle explores the past, present, and future of North America’s Great Lakes–one of the world’s most emblematic and ecologically significant ecosystems. Docent guides will take visitors through the suite of five mural-sized paintings which explore separate themes that emerged during Rockman’s travels around the Great Lakes. This tour will also explore large-scale watercolors and field drawings–monochromatic animal and plant studies made from site-sourced organic material such as mud, sand, coal, and leaves.
Drop-in tours are free with admission and meet in the museum’s main lobby at 1pm. No registration required.
