Anila Quayyum Agha is a cross-disciplinary artist whose work explores cultural, social, and gender issues. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1965, and is currently a professor at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis. Her installation, Intersections (2013), won both the Public Vote Grand Prize and the Juried Grand Prize at ArtPrize in 2014, the first and only time in the competition’s history. Join us for a conversation between Agha and GRAM Chief Curator, Ron Platt, as they discuss the artist’s work and career since her ArtPrize success.
