Special Flashlight Tour 9-10 pm
Join GRAM for a special night celebrating light and shadow in celebration of two of the newest exhibitions – Mirror Variations: The Art of Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian and Anila Quayyum Agha: Intersections. Activities include two art projects: color changing lanterns and iridescent kaleidoscopes, guided tours exploring light and shadow in art at 6pm and 7:30pm, and access to all the museum’s exhibitions. At 7:15pm, guests are invited to a Caribbean Dance and Drumming performance in the auditorium! This event and admission is free thanks to the Meijer Free Thursday Night program. Activities are great for all ages.
After the event ends at 9 pm, the lights will be turned off and special Flashlight Tours will be offered! Hour-long tours will be docent-led, and include special flashlights for all guests. Each tour will visit the permanent collection and several of the new exhibitions including Mirror Variations. This tour has limited capacity, and all tour guests must preregister by clicking here. Cost is $15 per person, $10 per member or member guest.
