In celebration of Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Week, GRAM Director Dana Friis-Hansen will lead a free museum tour highlighting Asian art. The tour will include Intersections by Pakistani-American artist Anila Quayyum Agha and Japanese prints from the GRAM collection. Mr. Friis-Hansen lived in Japan for five years, and has written extensively about contemporary Asian art. Guests should meet in the GRAM Lobby.

Additionally, GRAM has extended its display of Japanese prints through the weekend so festival goers can enjoy it. Located on Level III, Gallery 5, the intimate exhibition focuses on Ukiyo-e woodcut print masters, including Hiroshige, Kunisada, and Utamaro, with images as diverse as geisha, ghosts, kabuki actors, and sumo wrestlers!
