February 5, 2019, 1:00 PM-2:00 PM
In Water is Sacred // Trees are Relatives, Miner investigates the important historical and current issues around three primary natural elements: wood, water, and sky, and the traditional knowledge and beliefs around them within Great Lakes Indigenous cultures. A docent guide will explore the cyanotype process, the stories behind the artwork, and the Native American culture the art reflects.
Drop-in tours are free with admission and meet in the museum’s main lobby at 1pm. No registration required.
