Join us for a presentation by Director and CEO, Dana Friis-Hansen, and Chief Curator, Ron Platt, as they discuss the genesis and organization of GRAM’s latest exhibition, A Decade at the Center: Recent Gifts and Acquisitions. Over the past five years, the Grand Rapids Art Museum has added 400 objects to the permanent collection, 60 of which are highlighted in the exhibition alongside promised gifts from donors. Friis-Hansen will discuss the crucial role of donors and their gifts to growing a museum’s permanent collection and discuss the exhibition as it relates to GRAM’s strategic objectives. Platt will emphasize the exhibition’s organizational plan as well as focus on key works of art and design featured.
