Enjoy the summer air by spending some time drawing outdoors. Join us as we take GRAM Studio outdoors for plein air pastel drawings. Beginning as far back as the 16th century, plein air art making was used as a way for the artist to study the natural landscape. Using the city around us as inspiration, you will get a crash course in perspective and scale as you capture the uniquely human landscape that is Grand Rapids.

Open to ages 16+. Registration is required. Space is limited to 30 participants, so reserve your spot today.

No experience is necessary–just an open mind and a willingness to try something new. In GRAM Studio, we focus on the process, not the product, and encourage guests to explore their creativity. All supplies are provided. For more information, please contact Crystal Chesnik at 616.831.2927 or gramstudio@artmuseumgr.org.
