Reference Library


The Grand Rapids Art Museum Reference Library provides museum members
and visitors access to art books and periodicals related to exhibitions and collections.
Books, periodicals and other reference materials primarily relate to the strength of the permanent collection:

  • 19th – 21st century American and European painting, sculpture, photography, and design
  • 15th – 21st century American and European prints and drawings
  • 20th century International Modernism

 

The Library is staffed by volunteers, and overseen by the Associate Curator, who may be reached at 616-242-5030 or [email protected].

Books are for use within the library only. Currently two-thirds of the Library’s holdings of approximately 8,000 books have been entered into the catalogue database. The catalogue can be accessed through the internet here:
