The Grand Rapids Art Museum Reference Library provides members and visitors access to art books and periodicals related to exhibitions and collections.
Books, periodicals, and other reference materials in the library primarily relate to the strength of the Museum’s collection:
- 19th – 21st century and European painting, sculpture, photography, and design
- 15th – 21st century and European prints and drawings
- 20th century International Modernism
The Library is staffed by volunteers, and overseen by the Chief Curator, who may be reached at 616.242.5038 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Books are for use within the Library only. Currently two-thirds of the Library’s holdings of approximately 8,000 books have been entered into the catalog database. The library catalog can be accessed online.
The Reference Library is currently open by appointment only. Please contact Associate Registrar, Julie Conklin, at email@example.com to schedule a visit.
