ArtPrize at GRAM
ArtPrize® 2013 at GRAM:
Reimagining the Landscape and the Future of Nature
Artists today have a complex relationship with the environment that goes beyond celebrating the beauty of the landscape. GRAM’s ArtPrize 2013 exhibition will feature artists who are exploring images and ideas taken not only from the world around us, but also from the history of art, contemporary discussions about the environment, and the frontiers of natural science.
This ArtPrize exhibition anticipates GRAM’s forthcoming fall exhibition, Masterpieces of American Landscape Painting 1820-1950, from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
GRAM will not be accepting or declining submissions until after April 22, when the Connections Period officially begins. When Artist Registration opens on April 22, 2013, artists are encouraged to complete their Artist Profile on the ArtPrize website, including a description of the work and photographs. Due to the large number of artists who apply to GRAM, the curator is not available to meet with individuals.
If the curator or selection committee is interested in a particular submission, they will contact the artist. For any additional questions, please send inquiries to 2013artprize@artmuseumgr.org.
Artists who register with ArtPrize (beginning April 22) and notify us directly of their interest by June 1 can feel confident their submissions will be given consideration for our venue.
The curator will make every effort to let artists know if they have been chosen in a timely manner, in the event they are waiting for responses from other venues.
