Summer Art Camp
Create Summer Fun at GRAM!
Monday-Friday
9:00 am-12 noon
GRAM Summer Art Camps are exciting visual arts experiences offered to children ages 5-13. Each session allows campers to connect with original works of art, understand art-making processes, build a range of creative skills, and participate in a mini-exhibition at the end of the week.
June 17-21, ages 5-8
Have a budding artist on your hands? Discovery Through Art offers young campers a chance to explore the different ways to create art. Inspired by the Museum’s collection of paintings, sculptures, prints, and photos, campers will experiment with a variety of media. Each session includes visits to the Museum’s galleries, sketching and conceptualizing exercises, and hands on art activities in the Studio that complement the art highlighted throughout the week.
New for older campers!
June 24-28, ages 10-13
A new camp for older artists, Exploring Creativity & Innovation concentrates on the investigation of different artistic processes. Campers are introduced to the inventive techniques and methods that contemporary artists use to create their work. Each day campers will examine GRAM’s exhibitions, engage in skill building challenges, and create a portfolio that shows the variety of new abilities that they have developed throughout the week.
