Visionnaires Series: Natalie Wetzel

Thursday, Nov 16, 2023
5:45 pm — 7:15 pm

Join us for a conversation with local artist Natalie Wetzel! Transdisciplinary artist Natalie G’Nat Wetzel is co-director of creative space The Moon GR and an Associate Professor of Foundations at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Natalie holds an MFA in sculpture, has exhibited and lectured internationally, and works as a model/performer and designer/builder across commercial and fine art contexts. Her personal work focuses on the mutability of identity with narratives informed by science and art crossover, while her community-based work invites audiences into immersive experiences.

This free talk will follow with a Q&A moderated by Membership Manager Michael Catching II. Registration is required.

This event is organized by the Visionnaire Executive Committee, a group of creative young adults, ages 21 – 40, committed to introducing new audiences to the Grand Rapids Art Museum and encouraging lifelong engagement. Through a variety of events and programs, the Executive Committee furthers GRAM’s mission to connect people through art, creativity, and design, and promote the Museum’s world-class collection and special exhibitions.
