Field Trip Fund

Support local students with GRAM’s Field Trip Fund!

Advancing Equitable Learning Through Accessible Art Experiences

The Grand Rapids Art Museum’s Field Trip Fund will remove financial barriers and promote accessibility to the visual arts for local students. Through the Fund, Museum admission and participation fees will be waived, and schools will receive full transportation reimbursements. GRAM will partner with underserved schools in Kent County to provide K-12 students with accessible art education experiences; potential partners include Grand Rapids Public Schools, Godfrey-Lee Public Schools, and Kentwood Public Schools, among others.

Support for a Field Trip Fund will enable GRAM to provide free tour experiences for:

  • 5,775 underserved K-12 students
  • 3,000 students would also participate in hands-on, artmaking workshops

Per unit cost is $13/student. This includes everything (hard costs, transportation, staff time, overhead).

Through these interactive experiences, students will engage in transformative cultural experiences that inspire creativity, critical thinking, constructive dialogue, empathy, and self-expression.
