More Ways to Give

Contributions to the Museum can include gifts of stocks or bonds. Gifts of appreciated securities that have been held for more than one year provide the donor with an additional benefit — a charitable deduction for the full fair market value and no capital gains tax on the appreciated value. In order to transfer appreciated securities to GRAM, please contact the Advancement Department at (616) 831‑2906. Transfers to GRAM are facilitated by Merrill Lynch. The donor will provide the name of:

    • Remitting Brokerage House
    • Name(s) of Securities
    • Number of Shares

For further information please contact the Advancement office for assistance.

    Disclaimer

The Art Museum encourages donors to seek professional advice from their trusted accountant or tax preparer prior to making gifts of appreciated securities.

Many companies will match charitable contributions made by employees, doubling or even tripling the impact of your gift. If your company has a matching gift program, your contribution to GRAM can be generously increased and will do even more to support the Museum’s mission.

    Matching your gift is simple:

Contact your company’s Personnel, Human Resources, or Community Relations department to see if they have a matching gift program. If they do, complete the steps provided by your employer either online or by mail. If not completed online, please return your form to:

    Grand Rapids Art Museum
    Attn: Advancement Office
    101 Monroe Center
    Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Or contact us by email at donate@artmuseumgr.org.
