Visionnaire Series: Artist Talk with Ryan Crawley

Ryan Crawley is an artist who resides in West Michigan. He received his Bachelor Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting from Western Michigan University. His current artwork is influenced by landscapes, animals, and sketch paintings. 2020 was an influential year on his artistic journey, during which time he created his first mural titled ​“Black Anxiety.”

Of his artistic approach and body of work, Crawley shares that ​“the work that truly motivates me is surrounded by color and line. So much can be said without actually speaking about the piece. The conversation is relayed through the imagery and allows the viewer the opportunity to create their own story.”
