Andrea Kowch was born and raised in Michigan, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA from the College for Creative Studies in 2009. Largely self-taught and influenced by the work of American Masters and the Old Masters of the Renaissance, her paintings are best known for their rich symbolism, mood, and control of medium. A winner of numerous national and international honors for her art, Andrea has exhibited in such places as Washington D.C.’s Corcoran Gallery of Art, New York City’s Diane von Furstenberg Gallery, and Miami’s Margulies Collection, before the age of twenty.
