Attend GRAM’s Adult Workshops and discover three hours of artmaking and gallery activities. Tour the collection galleries while discussing the history and context of a different process, then experience an in-depth demonstration of tools and techniques before creating your own unique project. Leave with a record of what was taught along with a list of resources for continuing at home. Open to ages 16+.
On June 10, discover the rich works found in American Perspective: Stories From the American Folk Art Museum Collection and explore how to block print on fabric by hand. Folk Art encompasses a wide range of decorative and utilitarian creations, emphasizing handmade techniques over machine production. Learn how to carve designs and print patterns onto found fabric. All materials are provided, but guests are welcome to bring fabric from home to print on.
Please note: programming at GRAM is running with enhanced safety measures, including reduced program capacity to ensure distancing, face covering requirements, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants.
