One of the many techniques featured in GRAM’s current Michigan Artist Series exhibition, Carole Harris: Bright Moments, join GRAM Studio in learning more about this traditional form of papermaking. Joomchi is a centuries-old practice where layers of paper are bound together with water, producing a sculpture-like paper artwork. Participants will use water and brushes to apply this Korean paper felting technique and construct their own textured creation.
Please note: Program safety measures include face covering recommendations, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.
