Updates to the Creative Learning Center

The Creative Learning Center offers a new way to experience GRAM, where guests can invent, experiment, and explore in a space that invites everyone in our community to make their mark at the Museum. The updated space brings several brand-new upgrades and enhancements to the arts education facilities at GRAM.

The Discovery Gallery, which will be open during all Museum hours, enhances GRAM’s choose your own adventure” style of visitation. This casual learning space for visitors of all ages invites guests to participate in interactive art experiences. Guests can explore color theory and blending, curate their own miniature exhibition, build and design sculptures inspired by public art, create landscapes by layering and blending multiple artworks, and participate in artmaking workshops that rotate on a monthly basis.

The Museum will introduce two new classrooms for GRAM Studio workshops, school groups, and guided tours. Signature programs include hands-on artmaking in Drop-in Studio, Adult Workshops, and Saturday Studio Sessions.

Now easily accessible from the main Lobby, the new Creative Learning Center entrance will provide a more enjoyable guest experience and increase time spent interacting with artworks. On the Louis Street level, an expanded Welcome Area will provide a centralized orientation space for tours and school groups.

GRAM volunteers are essential in bringing the Museum’s mission to life. Our dedicated volunteers will have a redesigned space in the Creative Learning Center, including personal storage, refreshments, and a lounge area.
