Celebrate the joy of art and music with activities for all ages during GRAM’s Discovery Day!
- Find musical clues on a scavenger hunt in the galleries
- Create Textured Landscape Paintings
- Design an art guitar and an album cover
- Take a picture at the rock band photo op
- Enjoy hands-on interactives in the Discovery Gallery
- Hear live music performances by GVSU 8‑Hand Piano Ensemble (11 am) and GVSU New Music Ensemble (2 pm)
- Explore GRAM’s current exhibitions, and much more!
All activities are included with museum admission ($5 per person). Registration is not required.

About the Performers
The acclaimed New Music Ensemble at Grand Valley State University celebrates twenty years of bringing contemporary music to West Michigan and beyond. The ensemble marks this milestone with the world première of its 100th commissioned composition, by frequent collaborator Marc Mellits. With performances across the United States, five critically acclaimed albums, and more than 200 alumni, the ensemble’s impact extends from the classroom to far beyond the university walls.
