Driving Independence with Treetops Collective

Sunday, Apr 26, 2026
1:00 pm — 3:30 pm

In partnership with Treetops Collective, GRAM is excited to host the documentary première of Driving Independence: A License, A dream, A Newfound Freedom.

Join us for a special afternoon celebrating the première of a new documentary short following the stories of two women journeying through the Treetops Collective’s Driver’s Training Program – a program created after listening closely to the needs and dreams of refugee and immigrant women in our community – followed by a panel discussion featuring film producer If So Studio and film participants, museum curators, and those who helped bring the program to life.

Light refreshments will be served, and guests are invited to explore As We Rise: Photography from the Black Atlantic and Parisa Ghaderi: For Dancing in the Streets before the première.

All ticket proceeds support the Driver’s Training Program. RSVP is required.
