GRAM Family Day Edits 2 22

Family Day: The Power of Story

Thursday, Apr 6, 2023
12:00 pm — 4:00 pm

Join GRAM during spring break for a day filled with special activities for families of all ages! To celebrate the Museum’s exhibition Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder, the activities will be themed around the power of story in each photograph that can be an inspiration to all of us. Activities are available from 12 – 4 pm, are designed for children and adults of all ages, and include:

  • Art Making Project — Join GRAM Studio in the auditorium to create a mini sketchbook in which to tell your story during family day. Make a silly hat out of paper, then take an Instax photo with your loved ones to incorporate into the pages or onto the cover of your book!
  • Gallery Chats with Docents
  • Scavenger Hunt in the Galleries for Prizes
  • Drawing pARTy – Hosted by the Grand Rapids Story StRoll Team, children under the age of 18 have the opportunity to draw a picture with the prompt What advice would you give an adult?” Drawings will be juried by the Grand Rapids Story StROLL team and then selected by local businesses and organizations to be displayed on their windows downtown!

All activities are free with general Museum admission, and registration is not required.

Please note: Program safety measures include face covering recommendations, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.
