Film Screening: The Fatherhood Project

Thursday, Nov 5, 2026
6:00 pm — 7:30 pm

Join GRAM and The Delta Project for a free screening of The Fatherhood Project, a documentary uplifting young Black and Brown fathers in our community. The Delta Project supports programming that helps youth and young adults affected by the juvenile justice system find their voices and envision a future of their choosing.

About the Documentary

The Fatherhood Project was created to uplift and humanize young Black and Brown fathers from West Michigan by allowing them to tell their own stories in their own voices. Too often, teenage fathers, especially fathers of color, are portrayed through stereotypes that ignore their love, commitment, and daily presence in their children’s lives. As the film shows, many young fathers are actively involved in their children’s lives, striving to be present and supportive despite the challenges they face.

About The Delta Project

Cole Williams has over 20 years of experience working within systems that youth have been impacted by. He began as a single teen father with a son born into foster care and later became a foster and adoptive father to seven more sons, including one who entered the juvenile justice system due to mental health challenges.

As a national consultant and keynote speaker, Williams transforms personal experience into a mission: amplifying the voices of boys and fathers too often unseen.

As Co-founder and Executive Director of the Delta Project, he has developed programs that blend storytelling and human-centered design to create spaces where youth and families can experience belonging in a world that often sees them only as labels. Learn more about his work at The Delta Project.
