Gallery Chat: Art in Bloom

Friday, Mar 24, 2023
10:00 am — 6:00 pm

Drop in to a gallery and chat with a GRAM docent about the works of art on view. Docents will be stationed by a specific work, and guests can stop by to chat with them about the art and artist. This is a fantastic opportunity for art lovers of all ages to explore the many works on view at GRAM. Registration is not required.

Art in Bloom is a biannual, one-weekend-only exhibition that celebrates the combined beauty of art and floral design. Visitors are invited to tour the galleries and enjoy extravagant floral sculptures inspired by works from the Museum’s permanent collection created by some of the region’s most talented floral designers. These floral sculptures emphasize, challenge, and build upon elements and concepts within the original work of art, creating an extraordinary dialogue between the two pieces.

Docents will be in the galleries to share information about the artwork the florist is using as inspiration for their arrangement.

Please note: Program safety measures include face covering recommendations, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.
