Gallery Chat: Christopher Myers on Myth and Migration

Tuesday, Apr 22, 2025
1:00 pm — 2:30 pm

Drop in to a gallery and chat with a GRAM docent about the works of art on view. In this GRAM organized exhibition, Christopher Myers commemorates heroic stories of human migration through his monumental textiles and sculptures.

Myers’s works acknowledge the mythic proportion of individual migration stories and remind us of the significant risk and ambition of people who journey far from home in the hope of a better future. The exhibition includes a series of textiles inspired by Myers’s conversations with seasonal farmworkers here in West Michigan.

Docents will be stationed by a specific work, and guests can stop by to chat with them about the art and artist. This is a fantastic opportunity for art lovers of all ages to explore the many works on view at GRAM.

Registration is not required. Signage will be in the Lobby with the location of the docent.
