A GRAM Docent talks to visitors about artwork on display in An Art of Changes

Gallery Chat: Exploring Colors in Art

Tuesday, Jun 13, 2023
1:00 pm — 2:00 pm

Drop in to a gallery and chat with a GRAM docent about the works of art on view. Docents will be stationed by a specific work, and guests can stop by to chat with them about the art and artist. This is a fantastic opportunity for art lovers of all ages to explore the many works on view at GRAM. Registration is not required. Signage will be in the Lobby with the location of the docent.

In this Gallery Chat, explore artists that have used color to communicate emotions and messages through various techniques and combinations. The docents will discuss the symbolism of color choices, including the use of complimentary color and the absence of color, revealing hidden secrets in the artworks. You will never look at color the same way again!

Please note: Program safety measures include face covering recommendations, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.
