Tuesday, Aug 9, 2022
1:00 pm — 2:00 pm

Drop in to a gallery and chat with a GRAM docent about the works of art on view. Docents will be stationed by a specific work, and guests can stop by to learn more about the art and artist. This is a fantastic opportunity for art lovers of all ages to explore the many works on view at GRAM.

A sweeping survey of American Impressionism, In A New Light: American Impressionism 1870 — 1940, presents groundbreaking paintings, prints, and drawings from acclaimed artists such as George Inness, Childe Hassam, Thomas Moran, John Sloan, Ernest Lawson, Daniel Garber, and Guy Carleton Wiggins. Learn how these artists and more employed the Impressionist techniques that sparked the emergence and evolution of a truly American style of art.

Registration is not required. Signage will be in the Lobby with the location of the docent.

Please note: Program safety measures include face covering recommendations, regular sanitization and cleaning, and restricting the sharing of tools/materials among participants. Masks will be available for those who do not have one.
