Join GRAM for a morning of fun just for Scouts! On Saturday, March 2, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of all levels are invited to take part in several hands-on activity stations throughout the Museum to explore their creativity. Enjoy three floors of artwork, games in the galleries, interactive elements, and art-making projects in GRAM Studio. GRAM staff and volunteers will lead activities and provide all materials. Plus, troops can enjoy the new Creative Learning Center at GRAM, with new studio spaces and interactive, hands-on activities in the Discovery Gallery!
Activity Stations Include:
Become an Artist: Scouts put their creativity to work in GRAM Studio! Each scout will complete an art project using unique materials and take their finished project home to remember their visit.
Treasured Maps: Scouts will explore the exhibition Uncharted Ways Through: Maps, Land, and the Image with a GRAM docent. Using information from the exhibition, scouts will create their own maps that may lead to hidden treasure!
Recycled Music: Scouts will explore the exhibition Border Cantos | Sonic Border with a GRAM docent to discover unique musical instruments made from recycled and reused objects. Finding inspiration from these instruments and the music created from them, everyone can make their own instrument and music to tell their story!
