Join us for an introduction to sound as meditation at GRAM. In this session we will explore different techniques to open our awareness to what’s happening inside using sound, and discern how different tones trigger unique sensations, images, and emotions.
Explore the effects of sound as a meditative practice through a sound bath, singing bowls, and various instruments, followed by a close look at artwork in GRAM’s permanent collection. We’ll also discuss the science behind why sound, music, and singing can enhance your wellbeing and even trigger experiences of awe across cultures.
Cushions, stools, and comfortable seating will be provided.
Registration by Monday, November 16. Space is limited.
