Red wine and cheese board

Virtual Happy Hour Series with GRAM & Aperitivo: The Art of Curation

Wednesday, Jan 19, 2022
7:00 pm — 8:00 pm

Enjoy a tasting from the comfort of your home! This Virtual Happy Hour is a guided event that includes 2 pairings of wine, cheeses, and art.

The Grand Rapids Art Museum and Aperitivo are excited to offer GRAM Members an evening to learn about how wine, cheese, and the culinary experience share parallels to the art world — all from the comfort of your home! The 2022 series begins with a conversation about the art of curation. Each wine and cheese pairing will be selected and explained by the Aperitivo staff, and will be paired with a conversation around curation; of a gallery, of an exhibition, of a cheese board, of a wine and cheese pairing, and beyond.

The evening will be guided by Ron Platt, Chief Curator of GRAM, Amy Ruis, Owner of Art of the Table & Aperitivo, and Evan Talen, General Manager of Aperitivo. Learn about how wine, cheese, and the culinary experience share parallels to the art word. You will also hear about the history and background of some artwork as well as the products we are tasting, and why these particular pieces and products are so special to us. We can’t wait to spend the evening with you!
