WMCAT Teen Fashion Show: Textured Dreams

GRAM and West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT) presents Textured Dreams – –a showcase of student-designed work spanning, fantasy, texture, and the visual story of teen artists’ journey through WMCAT’s Teen Arts + Tech Fashion Design Studio.

Three distinct collections take the runway, each exploring a different dimension of design:

Winter 2026 Collection: Nevius Solstice. This collection features waistcoats with fantasy-inspired masks.

Spring 2026 Collection: Textured Dreams. This collection features pajama designs inspired by objects from GRAM’s Permanent Collection.

Senior Capstone: Lulu Nygaard-Tap. Closing the runway, this capstone presentation showcases work spanning Lulu’s four years in the Fashion Design Studio.

Music will be provided by teen artists from WMCAT’s Music Production Studio.

Doors: 5 pm

Runway: 6 pm

Following the runway show, guests are invited to participate in a Q+A with the students, enjoy light refreshments, and explore GRAM’s galleries.

The Teen Arts + Tech Program is a nationally recognized, tuition-free afterschool experience through which Grand Rapids Public high school students leverage visual arts and digital media to build creative confidence, elevate voice, connect with community, and explore possibilities for the future. The program offers semester-long experiences in our on-site studios led by professional teaching artists.
