Local artist Abby Haywood, draws free live portraits of visitors from a whimsical shipping container for World of Winter.

Take a seat and enjoy a fun conversation with the artist as she sketches your portrait in real time. When the drawing is finished, she slides it out of the booth for guests to take home a unique free keepsake.

About the Artist

Abby Haywood is an illustrator from Grand Rapids. She has been drawing portraits for 3 years out of a wooden photobooth built by her mom. She also likes making zines, macaroni and cheese and sharing fun facts.

Abby’s Hand Drawn Photo Booth has been organized by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. for World of Winter, the largest winter festival in the Midwest. With over 100 free events, activities and outdoor art installations over two months, the festival provides an opportunity for families and adults to enjoy Michigan’s beautiful winter and enjoy the four-season offerings of Downtown Grand Rapids.
