WMCAT Teen Fashion Studio: Palettes Past
West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT), in collaboration with the Grand Rapids Art Museum, presents Palettes Past.
Working with GRAM’s Learning + Creativity and Curatorial departments, teen artists from WMCAT’s Arts + Tech Intro to Fashion and Advanced Fashion programs have created a collection inspired by works from GRAM’s Permanent Collection.
The Intro to Fashion collection focuses on high fashion day and evening wear, application, and embroidery. The Advanced Fashion collection focuses on avant-garde outfits, historical silhouettes of the period the artwork was created, use of color, and repurposing materials.
