Grand Rapids Art Museum Appoints New Membership Manager

Michael Catching joins GRAM’s Advancement Team

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, February 26, 2021 — The Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) is pleased to announce that Michael Catching has joined its staff as Membership Manager. In this position, Catching will play a key role in overseeing and cultivating GRAM’s membership base.

Catching joins the Museum from the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, where he previously held the position of Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator and was responsible for the research and development of the Chamber’s diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

As a strong advocate for community collaboration, with a background in inclusion and program engagement, he will be a dynamic leader for the Museum’s membership.”

A longtime resident of Grand Rapids, Catching brings an enthusiasm for building community relationships to his role focused on evaluating and advancing GRAM’s membership program. He joins the Museum during the planning phase of its new five-year strategic plan and will play a key role in GRAM’s audience development and expansion.

Catching is a graduate of Davenport University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. He is a scholar recipient and member of the Grand Rapids Young Professionals and is a founding member of the Alpha League Global Enrichment Program. Catching is an active volunteer with Feeding America, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, and Mel Trotter Ministries.
