Join fiber artist and educator Jennifer Gould for an all-day workshop for an introduction to the world of fiber arts and embroidery as a creative medium. In conjunction with Ray Materson: Metamorphosis, this workshop will explore how fabric and thread can be used to communicate ideas, tell stories, and honor memories.
Through guided instruction and dedicated time to create, participants will discover stitching not simply as decoration, but as a powerful form of personal expression.

Meet the Artist
This workshop is led by fiber artist and educator Jennifer Gould, who has taught contemporary embroidery workshops throughout Michigan, including for the Michigan League of Handweavers. Jennifer will share examples of her own embroidered work, introduce participants to the work of contemporary embroiderers from around the world, and provide books and other reference materials to spur creativity beyond the workshop.
