American Glass Now: 2024 showcases the skill and creativity of artists working in the challenging material of glass.
About the exhibition
Organized with the American Glass Guild, this juried exhibition includes work in a wide range of techniques including stained glass, fused and kiln formed glass, and etched and painted glass. Jurors selected works based on the creative use of materials, originality, aesthetic impact, and the complexity of execution. Together, the works on view in American Glass Now: 2024 demonstrate the possibilities of glass as an expressive media.
Alongside the artwork on display, visitors to the exhibition can view a selection of tools and materials involved in making glass art and learn about the various techniques utilized by the included artists.
American Glass Now: 2024 was organized in partnership with the American Glass Guild and is hosted concurrently with the Guild’s annual conference in Grand Rapids, July 9 – 14, 2024.
