Join the Grand Rapids Art Museum and the Grand Rapids Film Society for a retrospective of the films of Terrence Malick.
On the occasion of the exhibition The Matter of Awe: Landscapes in Art, the Grand Rapids Art Museum and the Grand Rapids Film Society are collaborating to celebrate the work of filmmaker Terrence Malick, with a film retrospective honoring his lifelong devotion and attention toward nature and the landscape — available to our community for free (with prior registration requested). Malick’s films are engulfing masterpieces that remind us of the omniscient and ever-present majesty in the world that hums alive alongside us. Each film will be accompanied by introductory remarks by the GRFS team that deepen the viewer’s understanding of the context within which the film was produced.
All films are free to the public (kindly register to reserve your spot), and will be shown with subtitles for accessibility.
