
Grand Rapids Art Museum Brings Free Events Downtown All Summer Long with New Series Thursdays on the Terrace
Events held Thursdays from 5 — 8 pm through Aug. 2
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 24, 2025 — The Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) announced today a new summer event series in the heart of downtown, Thursdays on the Terrace. Taking place on Thursday evenings through Aug. 28, 2025, the series launched June 12 and brings an array of free performances and events to GRAM’s outdoor terrace. Planned activities include artmaking, live music, trivia and game nights, an artist market, community activations, and more.
Guests of all ages are invited to unwind on the Museum terrace and enjoy hands-on interactives for all ages, food trucks, and refreshments and snacks from GRAM’s café and bar. Admission to the Museum is also free from 5 – 8 pm as part of Meijer Free Thursday Nights.

Guests are invited inside the Museum to explore the exhibitions on view during the summer months, David Lubbers: Haunted Terrain, David Hockney: Perspective Should be Reversed, Prints from the Collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his Family Foundation, and rotating works from GRAM’s collection on all three floors of the Museum.
